The Instagram account of concept artist Matt Hatton proved to be a treasure of designs for the cancelled Justice League: Mortal film. What is Justice League: Mortal? This was going to be the Justice League movie we would have gotten in 2009 but it was shelved for reasons that are too many to list here. Check out these concepts for a Kent Farm room in the Fortress of Solitude, Wayne Manor,
and a funeral scene for Batman:

Justice League: Mortal is one of those things like the ill-fated Superman Lives that I wish would have seen the light of day. Here is a behind the scenes of the cast:

From the bottom- director George Miller, Jay Baruchel (Maxwell Lord), Hugh Keays-Byrne (Martian Manhunter). Next row- Santiago Cabrera(Aquaman), Adam Brody(The Flash), Teresa Palmer(Talia al Ghul), stuntman Greg Van Borssum, and producer Barrie Osborne(Lord of the Rings). Armie Hammer(Batman) is at the very back and D.J. Cotrona(Superman) directly in front of him.

Supposedly, all actors were screentested in costume however only photos of Megan Gale as Wonder Woman have surfaced:

What could have been, huh? Though I’m still very happy with the Justice League movie we received last year.
