Today, ReedPOP – the world’s leading producer of pop culture events – announced that the team behind the multiplatform, entertainment phenomenon Critical Role will be at next month’s Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2). On both Saturday (April 7) and Sunday (April 8), cast members Matthew Mercer, Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Sam Riegel, Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O’Brien and Marisha Ray will be on the C2E2 stage to discuss their extremely popular show Critical Role as well as providing fans a deep dive into the adventures of the Critical Role Campaigns. Each of the talent will also be in the autographing area on Saturday and Sunday for fans to get autographs and meet them.

What started in 2012 as a home D&D game in Matthew Mercer’s living room has quickly evolved into a multiplatform entertainment phenomenon, now in its second campaign storyline. Each week, hundreds of thousands of viewers tune into Critical Role, the livestreamed roleplaying campaign where a group of friends (Ashley Johnson, Marisha Ray, Taliesin Jaffe, Travis Willingham, Sam Riegel, Laura Bailey, and Liam O’Brien) take on roles as adventurers led by veteran voice actor and dungeon master Matthew Mercer.
Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (C2E2), the largest pop culture convention in the Midwest, will take place from April 6-8 at McCormick Place in Chicago. C2E2 is also home to the C2E2 Crown Championships of Cosplay, the world’s biggest and most prestigious costume contest with a $10,000 prize. This will be the final stop on ReedPOP’s 2017Global Championships of Cosplay competition circuit with participants from all over the world.
