Superman/Batman: Affleck’s Batsuit Nothing Like We’ve Seen Before On Film

This past weekend, Kevin Smith hosted a live fan event to celebrate the Man Of Steel release on blu-ray which included a q and a with Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Henry Cavill, and director Zack Synder.
During Smith’s Hollywood Babble – On podcast, he revealed that backstage Snyder showed him a photo of the new Batman costume for MOS 2 on his iPhone.

Here’s Smith’s comment, censored a little: “I saw the costume, more than that I saw him (Ben Affleck) in the costume…I don’t want to give anything away cause that is up to them and stuff, but I am going to say this …. I instantly bear hugged him. You have not seen this costume in film before. Because every other movie has done this matrixy black armor thing ….There wasn’t a single nipple on this f**king suit man. I think everyone is gonna be like Wow! We haven’t been down this path before. Even the Hardest core “f**k this movie” person will be like ‘alright, I’m ready!'”

He then continues about what the suit reminded him of.

“It seemed like it was very (redacted) influenced.”

Smith bleeped what he thinks the new Batsuit was influenced by.

Recent rumors suggest that Affleck’s Batsuit, at least the cowl, resembles Lee Beremjo’s version seen in the graphic novel, Batman: Noel. I’m sure photos of the Batsuit will be leaked/released once filming begins in Detroit, MI early next year.

Man Of Steel 2: Superman Vs. Batman (not the actual title) opens in theaters 07/17/15
