Civil War II Comics Gets Delayed But Gets Extra Issue!

Hey, remember when last year’s Secret Wars event was supposed to be over and done in 8 parts within the span of a few months then multiple issues got delayed and Marvel added an additional issue? Well guess what? Brian Michael Bendis, via his Tumblr account, just announced that Marvel’s Civil War II will now be 8 issues instead of 7.
Civil War II #5 which was originally solicited for an August release, however, will now hit the stands on 09/14/16. Bendis explained that the delay was due to artist David Marquez welcoming a new son into his family.

“David [Marquez] has been handing in about a page a day for the last couple of weeks so we’re getting back on track,” Bendis continued, “So much so that Marvel greenlit an 8th issue for us. I came up with a better ending but needed the pages. Very grateful that they let us do our thing.”
Bendis offered this sneak peek at one of the pages from the upcoming fifth issue.
